We are World Vision

We go beyond meeting people's everyday needs. Last year, we empowered 7.6 million children, families and communities to tackle poverty and injustice with sustainable solutions.

Who we are

Our legacy of child sponsorship and human connection began in 1950 when our founder, Bob Pierce, gave the last $5 in his pocket to help care for an orphaned little girl in China.

Today, with over 34,000 staff in almost 100 countries, we continue his journey as a dynamic Christian relief, development and advocacy organization impacting the world.

Our mission is inclusive. We collaborate with communities, supporters, partners and governments to transform the lives of the world’s most vulnerable people regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or gender.

With one voice, we can move mountains. Join us, and together we can change the world.
