Children and families are injured, hungry and displaced.
Even before this disaster, Lebanon's people faced significant humanitarian challenges, exacerbated by the Syrian refugee crisis. Up to 30 per cent of the country's people already lived in poverty. As in any emergency, children are the most vulnerable of all. Many have become separated from their families in the chaos, and are in dire need of protection.
